Hi everyone,

i am from Turkey and i have a 1968 88" LHD soft top Land Rover Series2a. I am a university student and want to live my LR. I want to ride a fully original Series2a, but in Turkey this isn't easy. I have LPG system and seeking solutions to my LR and want to know LR users all in world...

My latest big problem is clutch. A month ago, my clutch didn't relase and i am press the clutch pedal two times to not hear noise from 3rd and 4th speeds . Nowadays, my car goes , after clutch pedal totaly depressed.

If you have handbooks and share with me, i will be very happy. I thank the my friend Camilo, because he told me here ...

MMHHH, I KNOW THAT IN IRÁN WERE BUILT MANY SANTANA (BY MORATTAB), AND THINK SOME OF THOSE SERIES COULD BE IN TURKEY OR NEXT.... THE OTHER TWO OPTIONS FOR GETTING SPARE PARTS ARE SPAIN OR ENGLAND (I DONT KNOW HOW MUCH IT COSTS TO BRING THOSE PARTS TO TURKEY ).

ON THE CLUTCH PROBLEM, YOU CANT REACH 4 SPEED ??.... FOR THE OTHER 3 SPEEDS IT WORKS ??(CLUTCH).... IF THE ANSWER IS "YES", MAYBE THE PROBLEM IS IN THE GEARBOX. (I HOPE NOT)

LET ME SEE, THE CLUTCH PEDAL REMAINS DEPRESSED AND DOESNT RETURN..... MHHH, IT SOUNDS LIKE LACK OF PRESSURE INSIDE THE MAIN CLUTCH PUMP, DO YOU HAVE FLUID LEAKING BESIDES ?

ONE MORE QUESTION: WHEN YOU START TO RUN, DO YOU HAVE PROBLEM TO PUT FIRST SPEED ??, DOES IT SOUND "CRAAACKKK !!" . IF THIS HAPPENS, MAYBE THE PROBLEM IS IN THE CLUTCH PUMP. IS THERE BRAKE FLUID DROPPING IN THE FLOOR OR ALONG YOUR CLUTCH PEDAL ?? DO YOU HAVE BRAKE FLUID LEAKINGS ??

thanks mate, i am downloading now.

i want to improve my LR to completely original, but it is impossible for my truck. Because, interior is impossible to become original. i also haven't got the original front parts and haven't much money for this. Maybe future, i want to buy an original SIIa

In Turkey, BMC motor company produce Land Rover SeriesIII 1973-1975 , but really they aren't much. They aren't aluminium. Also my car isn't aluminium. OTOKAR also produce Defender in Turkey. I can find mechanic spare parts in my country. But non-mechanic original parts(body etc..) , it is really hard to find.

My English is bad and i could make mistake, i am sorry for this. I can use the 4 speeds. But before about a month, my clutch isn release and make noise changing gears. while i am using it, i was pressing the clutch pedal 2 times again and again then put the gear is 1 and hear no noise . Now the clutch is release, no noise on changing gears but sometimes i kick the gas pedal, but it doesn't go. my clutch pedal has no space now, while first pumping(which is on manuals and it is written, there is a space about 1 cm on clutch pedal)

i hope, i explain my problem.

MAN, YOUR ANSWER IS NOT CLEAR ..... CHECK YOUR CLUTCH PUMP, MAYBE THE PROBLEM IS JUST LACK OF PRESSURE. ONCE AGAIN .... DO YOU HAVE BRAKE FLUID LEAKINGS ??

i have no leakings, i checked it again. i couldn't send private message. it says

now i am thinking about the clutch master cylinder. i think, it should make a setting master cylinder firstly. i learned it from ebook which i have downloaded too long ago. it is written there, a 1cm free space must be on clutch pedal. i have no free space on my clutch pedal. this is the i want to tell in my previous post.

i tried to do the setting on clutch master cylinder but i couldn't use spenner, because no enough space. what should i do?
