Bueno todo empezo una mañana normal como la de cualquier domingo de trocha. Salimos por carretera desde Barranquilla en direccion sur oeste hasta el pueblo de Piojo, el mas alto del departamento del Atlantico. En las afuera de Piojo entramos a la trocha, al principio era un camino suave sin complicaciones y poco a poco empezamos en meternos en caminos mas dificiles.
El primer obstaculo de la trocha es el lecho de un arroyo que solo corre cuando llueve, pero dicen es imposible de pasar cuando se sube, a nosotros nos toco seco al momento de nuestro paso a las 11am.
A medida que fuimos avanzando empezamos a encontrar pequeños hoyos de barro donde solo se veian pisadas recientes de animales.
Ya en este punto el barro empezaba a ponerse mas espeso y mas profundo
En este barro las llantas y rines se embotan y hacen que el paso de los vehiculos se ponga aun mas dificil
Un arbol caido en la mitad de la trocha pone a trabajar al equipo para seguir adelante
Despues de un par de horas de haber iniciado la aventura, llegamos a un punto donde el invierno ha dejado el camino totalmente desaparecido, en este punto nos informan que si queremos seguir, toca meterse por una finca, pero que hace dias no pasan ni los tractores por la zona, pues el terreno esta demasiado malo y el barro muy profundo. Como bueno trocheros seguimos adelante!!
Parada obligada para foto antes de seguir con la parte mas dificil de la aventura.
A escasos 200 metros adelante del lugar de la foto empiezan los problemas, evidentemente el terreno esta demasiado humedo y los carros se hunden con mucha facilidad. Y como pueden ver en el fondo, lo que venia era mas agua!!
Nos recuperamos rapidamente y seguimos solo para encontrarnos con un paso aun mas dificil adelante, una baja de unos 45 grados de inclinacion que termina en un bajo con 50 centimetros de agua y barro, para empeorar un poco las cosas el ultimo vehiculo que paso por ese punto, un tractor, dejo su trilla bien marcada.
Lanzamos al vacio el primer Land Rover para utilizar el winch mecanico para pasar al otro lado y luego sacar a los vehiculos sin winch.
En el momento que estabamos terminando este rescate, empezo a llover. Todavia teniamos mas de 4 kilometros de trocha por recorrer para salir al pueblo mas cercano y lo que venia mas adelante era aun mas duro!!!
